Indiana's extraordinary musical heritage is explored in this exhibit. Through published sheet music covers, the display traces the words of such gifted Hoosier songwriters as Hoagy Carmichael, Cole Porter, Paul Dresser, and many others. The sheet music presented in the exhibit comes from the Society, the Indiana State Library, and the Lilly Library in Bloomington. An audiotape of Indiana songs is available for background music. Hosts must provide the equipment for playing the tape.
